Juggling with light
Inspired by the art of juggling a ball, Michael Anastassiades designed the IC Lights collection where each lamp consists of a sophisticated metal arm on which a luminous ball balances. For the IC Ligths table lamp, he came up with 3 ways to reflect this balancing act.
In the IC Lights Table Lamp T1 low, the diffuse luminous sphere made of opal glass hangs on the vertical part of the arm under the pleated piece. The base consists of two legs so that the table lamp remains stable.
The IC Lights Table Lamp T1 high looks almost the same as the T1 low, but has a longer, pleated arm with the sphere resting on the pleated section at the top.
The IC Lights Table Lamp T2 only has a vertical arm on which the spherical diffuser hangs and the 2 feet to keep the lamp steady.
The whole IC Lights collection is also a balancing act between this strong symbolism and simple industrial design. Thus, the whole design has been given a very minimalist look with the sleek metal base and the opal glass. Like the other lamps, the IC Lights table lamp is available in brushed brass, chrome and black.
